Feature Requests

I recently added a dial/jog wheel to my workflow. It does not work out of the box with Recut, but I can program the dial. However, the selection of shortcuts is very limiting (even without the additional hardware). Besides going a frame forward or backward, or one full second, what about clips? In Recut, I am usually only doing a rough fix of the cut, so I am looking for patterns that seem off. Also, the timeline currently does not follow, if you adjust the playhead, so you are quickly out of the screen. For what I do, I do not even need to move the playhead, it would be enough if I could vertically scroll the timeline. So shortcuts for that would be appreciated.

I am often recording one video in several source chunks. I then add them (holding shift) to recut, to have them side-by-side, not as parallel tracks. Now, most (if not all) of these videos (mov) end in one small silent clip, that recut just leaves there. So I currently have to zoom into all the source material boundaries and remove them manually. There seems to be a small bug in the logic at the clips end. (And just to make sure: Analysis should not depend on the source material boundary at all. My camera sometimes starts a new file mid-talking, frame perfect, of course. And not cutting out the talking at the end of one file and at the start of the next, should not depend on them both "surviving", but they should be considered continuous.) Thanks!

Detect filler words like um, uh, ahh, etc and remove them.

Add the capability to speed up the silent parts instead of deleting them. This would be useful for the hands on instructional videos where the silent non talking parts are necessary. Speeding them up keeps people engaged.

Sometimes problems happen after an update. Need to be able to rollback to a previous version.

When a video is being played at 1.5x speed, clicking to transition to another scene causes the speed to reset to 1x. It is necessary to reset it to 1.5x.

Transcribe the video and be able to edit the video by deleting words from the transcript.

Remove/reduce background noise.

Add a feature to zoom in and out of the timeline using the mouse wheel.

There is a copy paste button but it doesn't work. Being able to copy clips and drag them around would complete recut for me/ I currently use it to do my initial rough edits and this is much faster than using a standard editing app, the only significant thing I miss is being able to cut copy and paste segments as I move them around. A few times I've used the wrong word, and cut the correct word from elsewhere and pasted it in.
