Speed up silent parts instead of deleting them

Add the capability to speed up the silent parts instead of deleting them. This would be useful for the hands on instructional videos where the silent non talking parts are necessary. Speeding them up keeps people engaged.

Yes, I really agree with your suggestion, it would be better to add a speed-up feature to mute videos

I like this idea. And if possible, we are allowed to choose if we want that part to be silenced, accelerated or visible.

I agree. We want it for panel style speakers in video, to show that its one take, and to smooth the cuts. Though I would use up to 20x speed. Even if the approach is to just tweak the [timeline export] with edits tagged in some way to be easily selected as a group in FCP or DAV, ADB

When I'm trying to understand a complicated concept, I often make whiteboard explainer videos on my iPad. In these videos, I draw and then talk through my understanding. It would be amazing if this feature included speed animation, so that the drawings would come to life instead of just appearing instantly.

I agree. This is basically the only reason I still use TimeBolt software, it does the same thing, but it allows me to speed up parts of tutorial where I am actually typing, rather then just removing them and showing what I was typing the whole time.
